    What Are The Benefits Of Blu-ray Technology?

    The Blu-ray technology offers wide variety of advantages to their users. The format does not provide as big of a technological step as Blu-ray Disc. For example, Blu-ray Disc provides 67% more capacity per layer at 25 GB for a single-layer and 50GB for a double-layer disc but HD-DVD has only 15 GB and 30 GB capacities in single and dual layer ones. Blu-ray offers up to 200 GB capacity in the future but HD-DVD has not seem to be enough for the high definition alternatives.

    HD-DVD technology still needs improvements and may not to be considered to have a long term future. Depending on that point most of the important companies support and work for Blu-ray to make it the industry standard.
